The Kaira Vow

A Kaira ring is a symbol of love and trust. It holds the promise of eternity and devotion. The incredible beauty of a Kaira Diamond is the result of high quality standards in the selection process and our continuous pursuit for the best available diamonds. Our gemologists and jewelers hand select diamonds from around the world to ensure their cut, clarity and color while working with passion to achieve precision and magnificence in every piece created.

Our Standards

Carat

Diamonds of higher carat weight are generally more valuable because they are found less frequently in nature. But diamonds of equal carat weight may vary greatly in value because they differ in the quality of their cut, color and clarity. Weight alone is a poor standard for evaluating a diamond, since it is a combination of factors that influence a diamonds beauty and quality.

Color

Almost all diamonds display some slight hint of color. A diamond's color is assessed against a scale from D through Z —based on the GIA standardized color grading system accepted since the 1950s. In creating engagement rings, Kaira selects diamonds only from the top six grades (D, E, F, G, H and I). These diamonds have a colorless face-up appearance.

Fancy colored diamonds are categorized in a different colored range. At Kaira, gemologist select fancy colored diamonds analizing the vividness and saturation of the color in each specific stone.

Clarity

Almost all diamonds have slight internal and surface characteristics, most of them too small to be seen by the unaided eye. To determine a diamond's clarity grade, a gemologist will consider its size, location, quantity and nature. Kaira ‘s gemologist strictly select our diamonds from Flawless to Very Slightly Included.

Cut

The beauty of a diamond's sparkle is the result of how well it has been cut. The aspects of cut that contribute most to a diamond's beauty are proportion, symmetry and polish. When a diamond is cut to exacting proportions light will reflect inside the stone from one mirror-like facet to another and reappear to the eye in a flash of spectral colors. Kara’s diamonds are cut and polished for them to give out excellent sparkle and brilliance.

Fluorescence

Fluorescence refers to the property some diamonds have of glowing when exposed to ultraviolet light. When such diamonds are observed under incandescent or natural light, they can often have a milky appearance. Kaira accepts only diamonds with zero to faint fluorescence, and carries no diamonds whose appearance in daylight is compromised by this unique property.
